Davis Turns 2 July 28!

Davis turned 2 on July 28th!
Wow, how time flies! He has accomplished so much in the past year: walking (finally), running, jumping, playing soccer, talking, and helping out around the house.
He is really a hoot to have around the house, and makes us laugh every day. He seems to understand that he is "two" now . . . and will tell you if you ask him how old he is. He will also tell you that he had a firetruck party (pictures to post next).

Davis received a pop-up Thomas the Train tent from Aunt Karen. Toot! Toot!
He loves to run inside and stick his face in the window and say "hi!"

Davis' teacher, Ms. Guyla, was so kind to think of him on his birthday. She gave him a set of books and a really neat-o firetruck! When we got home from school that afternoon he had to sit down and read his books immediately. He loves them! Thanks Guyla!

Grandad and Gran sent a whole bunch of goodies, but the airplanes and the book with sounds of things that go were really great! Here Dad is showing us the sounds and how to push the buttons on the book.

Papa and Grandma gave us a lot of goodies too, but this ramp for our Chuck trucks is really awesome! It kept us entertained for quite a while!

Of course on the actual birthday, Mom made another cake for Davis.
Dad, Mom, and Mae :) sang happy birthday and enjoyed this creative cake mom made!
Chocolate with chocolate chips and then marshmallows on the side! YUM!

Davis has learned to blow out the candles before you can even sing to him! He has quite a set of lungs. So Derek had to block the candles in order for us to sing to him before he made a wish and blew them out!
